Default why does my oil gauge do this??

Sometimes after a highway ride, or a fast acceleration my 5.3 oil gauge (manual gauge) bounces...when the motor is up to temp it runs around 30psi and then runs 40-50 going down the road...but at idle i sometimes get this bounce in the needs...its like a 5 psi bounce...any idea?

Could be a sending unit going out or a possible ground issue.

its a manual gauge so its got the spaghetti like...thats why i was kind of afraid that it might be sometihng inside the motor doing this....
