double roller timing question

Question double roller timing question

Im putting together my 408..... block heads cam etc all installed have timing chain and gears on but everyone says line up the dots. well the cam gear has a dot but the crank gear just has numbers(no dot)... how do i align them right now the zero is in a linear path with the dot that was the only way i could get it to bolt up bc i cant rotate the cam plz need help

Look closer or make a dot, where the number is? Whose timing chain set?

it got it from tsp they said line up the zero from the crank gear and the dot from the cam gear which i did so i should be good now

The numbers on the crank gear are the advance and retard for the cam timing. Usually, 0 is no advance/retard, +2 and up is advance, -2 and below are retard.
