Default Head Bolts?

I am doing a head swap on an LQ4 and i was wondering about the bolts. I am going to torque them to the specs that the motor came out of seeing as how the block is iron with aluminum heads. My question is do you have to replace the bolts every time the heads are swapped or can i just reuse the old bolts?

Do not reuse the old bolts. You could go with head studs and reuse those.

Gm's head bolts are torque to yield, you streach them. They are a one time use. If you get ARP bolts or studs you can reuse them.
