Default Will this require flycutting?

232/228 @ .050 .578/.578 lift 112lsa +4 ?? The reason I ask is I read somewhere before where somone was asking if they could advance their TSP231/237 2 more degrees (they are +2 as ground) and they were told that there might be some P/V interferance. I'd like to try this cam out, but I DO NOT want to do any flycutting. Any insight would be appreciated. BTW.. my heads are at the stock deck height.

Default answer.

The only way to do it right is to check it! Too many factors involved to fully determine without checking. One thing that will effect PV clearances is ramp speeds. Ramp speeds can only be determined with a Cam Doctor.

Just spend the time to check it!

You do have to check it, and if you dont want to, then flycut! I flycut for my 228/224, but my heads were milled a bit. I also tend to play it safe.

I would venture to say that it would be fine. That cam is on a XE type lobe, so the ramp rate is fast, but not as fast as others. If the X3/114 will fit with no flycutting, that cam should be fine. I would still check it, but I see no way that it could be that close. Why not try the 232/232R before going reverse split?
