Bbk intake, and bbk throttle body!? Is this a good set up?
I JUST BOUGHT A BBK 85MM ITAKE, 80MM BBK THROTTLE BODY, 5.3 225cc HEADS, CAM, B&M 3000 RPM STALL, 3.73 GEARS. FOR MY 2001 LS1 TRANS AM IS THIS A GOOD SET UP OR DOES INYBODY HAVE INY IDEAS WHAT I SHOULD DO?

My car has ported 241's(295cfm intake/256exhaust), TFS 228/230 cam, 3800 stall, BBK 85/85 combo, and exhaust and it made 380hp to the wheels in 110* weather. I got rid of the BBK stuff and went back to the stock LS6 intake and TB. We couldnt get the TB to open all the way and the little screws kept coming loose on the bottom of the intake.

Here is a good thread for you...

The BBK intake and throttle body made 4hp/2trq more than the LS6/stock TB but weighs a lot more. 9lbs compared to 24lbs....
If it was me, since your car came stock with the LS6 intake, I'd just sell the BBK setup and put the money towards something else. Maybe a better torque convertor..
