Default need info on a good cam for my 2000 trans am

ok so im looking into doing a cam on my trans am over the winter and i was looking into the texas speed ms3 cam and the specs are 237/242,.603"/609" 112 for it. the car is going to be a weekend car and im looking for a cam that will give me around 400 horse and something that will not make the car a bitch to drive on the street. my car is stock right now besides long tube headers into a ory pipe and im also getting my 4l60 trans done over the winter and i want to know if i go with the ms3 cam then what is a good converter for my car with the cam. The last thing is what supporting mods do i have to get for the cam oh and one more thing im going to keep my stock 241 heads on the car.

thanks for the help guys

LS6 intake, 3.73's, any 4000 stall, good tune to make it not be a bitch on the street to drive. also if its a street car i would want a more torquey cam, that being said i would look for a custom cam by pred z or pat g. pred z's el torro cam can make 400 rwhp and it also has awsome torque specs are 230/230 .612/.592 LSA 111+2 bigger is not always better. it has also has gone 10's in a cam only car (car setup very well with all supporting mods plus susp.)

You don't have to have a donkey dick cam to make 400hp...

my suggestion would be drive a car with a bigger cam then one with a smaller cam and see which one u think is more streetable. i still think u would like something along the lines of the el torro better but i could be wrong. the ms3 has to rev high and thats more wear to.

Look for a grind similar to what LS1-Navy is describing. A off the shelf grind that is similar is the Torquer V2.
