i know that this question was probably asked before but if i change my stock intake manifold to a Fast 92mm intake manifold will i pass smog and will the service engine light come on?

if your car came equipped with an EGR....and you don't install it on the FAST...than yeah you probably would fail emissions...as well as trip a code.

if you have a non-egr car from the factory (01-02 fbody) than it would bolt right up. no codes...theoreticaly you should pass emissions.

HOWEVER if it throws your a/f off...it could cause you to fail the smog test

dont mind me asking but what EGR? and yeah i have a 2001 ws6 so ill pass emission if i change the intake manifold?

your car is not equipped with egr, if evrything is correct, you should throw no codes, but idk about cali emmissions. will still need to get tuned for it, if it does thrw codes

yeah thanks for the help. but do you think i should just buy a LS6 intake manifold or spend 200 more on a FAST intake manifold? is there really a big difference?

if ur car is stock, u dont need a fast, and ur car is alredy equipped with a ls6, unless somebody took it off or swapped it out.
01-02 come stock with ls6

its not stock just headers, 3 inch Y pipe and intake. but im planning on camming it so i was just wondering.

nah. u dont need it, spend your money on cylinder heads instead, my car has no prob with 490 rw and stock ls6

I think the FAST manifold itself may fail the visual inspection.
