what would size would this be 4.03 bore with 6.125 rod and 4.1 stroke it would go in a cast iron block could i use a supercharger on this . what would it be if i did a light hone bore to the stock 6L block. and i would be useing the l92 heads 70cc head I think

 

If your planning on big boost I would stick with the plain 408 and dont bore to much because you would just weaken the cylinder walls. Plus boost makes up for the few cubes you would be missing.

I'm not a compression expert but i would shoot for about 9:1-9.7:1 compression for a boosted motor.

 

im with melscrila 408 with boost 416 with a 150 or less..

well with a 4.03 bore and 6.125 rod and 4.1 stroke its a 418 and 4.03 bore and 6.125 rod and 4.0 stroke its a 408 I am only worried about the stroke of the crank, Is it to much for a boosted motor I got a hell of a deal on a 4.1 crank

 

I would suggest to have the block torque plate honed to 4.005 bore. This will give you some added strength to the block. You can use the 4.1 stroker crank with a good set of 6.125 rods and use a Weisco forged k449xo5 piston. With a 70cc l92 head this would give you around a 9.0:1 compression. Spend the extra money and buy a set of ARP main studs and have the block align honed. This will give you a very solid short block that will handle whatever blower or turbo you want to give it.

If you go with the 4.005 bore with the 4.1 stroke and use the formula (bore x bore x stroke x .7854 x # of cylinders) you would have 413 cid. The bore is just a good hone job to true up the bores. The torque plate helps to simulate the head to make the cylinder as strait and round as possible. The piston will work for this application. Your engine machinist will know about the align hone and the studs will add strength to the bottom end.

 

I run a LS2 4.100" stroke X 4.030" bore 418cid for amost 4 years now with a duel stage 300 shot n.o.s. And never had the first problem out of it at all. Now im starting a new build with the LS3 4.100" stroke X 4.100" bore 433cid.
