Default Another cam question

Ok I have used the search function even read through the cam install guide and even the cam/head install guide, both very nice pieces of info.

My question is will my stock 26lb injectors handle a 228/228 .585 112 LSA cam? with it I have some stock 241's with patriuot gold valve springs and they are milled, I don't know what the exact specs were for the milling I will find out from the guy I bought them from (mostly cause then i need to see about different length rods.)

I have not seen a solid answer on whether or not injectors are needed, but I also don't want to not have enough fuel either. I do appreciate any and all help on this. Thank you in advance.

well, when in doubt replace them. I'm going to assume your going to tune it or have it tuned. I believe (dont quote me on this) you want to stay under a 80% duty cycle for better fuel atomization and fuel injector longevity. I went with 42 lbrs. to make sure with future mods i would have the gas to go fast. If you buy used make sure they have been leak down tested.

I was just going to go with 36lb injectors, the next mod I want to go with is spray and I won't need to upgrade injectors with a plate kit. Thank you, I talked to a shop owner out here and he said it is a good idea just so they are done for future mods.

I bought some 36lb FAST precision-flow fuel injectors off of Speed Inc for $319.99 and they work great, idles better and and the fuel response is better than its ever been. I kept though lean codes all the time and went thats the reason I went to them. Hope all works out and if you are looking for a set of red top SVO 30lb I have a set I will sell you. $120.00 shipped. Good Luck with your car.

I am going to go with some fast 36lb injectors. I still have to get all the other supporting mods as well, oil pump and ls2 timing chain set. Thank you everyone for your responses I had searched and people said they had done it without upgrading injectors, I was like well the cam will want to bring more air in so more fuel would be needed.. how are they not running out of fuel on their tune? LOL.
