Default Patriot Heads - where best deal?

Patriot 5.7L Stage 2 no core charge

$ 1795 Texas Speed
$ 1295 LS1 Speed

Is it the Crane double springs thats costing $500 more at Texas Speed.

And do I need this on a daily driver A4 car that I don't plan on going to the track with?

I plan on replacing lots of other stuff since I will be paying for all the labor, so it's going to hurt alot So every dollar counts.

That $1795 at TSP is most likely for he S2 "LS6" head... Regular S2 5.7 or 5.3 heads are $1295 from TSP.

Pricing on the ls1 5.7 & 5.3l heads are $1295

The $1795 heads are the ls6 style heads

Patriot Heads all feature the Crane double spring so you can't go wrong with any set you purchase.

skunk50 What cam are you going with? If you are going with a small cam or moderate sized cam (such as a 224 cam) then just get the regular stage 2 heads for $1295. The LS6 style heads shine with bigger cams. With a small or moderate cam the LS6 style heads might only net you 10hp more than LS1 heads.

Im still up in the air about which ones Im getting for my 02. If I keep the TR224 cam I have then I'll just get the LS1 heads. If I decided I want a bigger cam (Such as the 231/237 cam) then I'm definetly getting the LS6 style heads.

Since you said your car is a A4 daily driver then I would stick with a such as a 224 cam and LS1 heads. It will still have plenty of power and you'll save $500 that you can put towards the installation of everything.
