I had a knock sensor go bad on my 2000 LS1 engine and decided while i had the intake off and out of the way i would just go ahead and replace both well one of them came out just fine the other one when i went to loosen felt like it broke loose for it to come out but would never come out so i looked in there and the part that has the nut is actually just spinning inside the housing for the sensor. Anybody have any ideas or had this happen to them?

The base is brocken. I think you can take off the valley cover over it but it will destory the rubber cover that goes over them.
