Default Should I go bigger ?

So i havent had my cam that long, but the more I search I wish I went bigger...
Its a 05 cts-v , LS6

I went with a comp 220-224 0.530 int./0.534 exh. lift and 112 lobe.

The low lift bothers me, stock ls6 cam is 204-216 but with .550 lift.

My main question is, would the HP gain of upgrading to a 228 or low 230s cam with just under .600 lift be worth it?
Or should i just stick with what I have and spend my money else were ?

I already have the springs and pushrods to support it. It would be a matter of just swapping the cam..

What do you guys think ?

looks to me like you're making good power.

money better spent milling and cleaning up the heads.

You can definitely pickup a good bit of power going with more camshaft. We have some 225/227 camshafts which we have dyno tested next to several different 220 camshafts with great results. I also have a few 229/236 camshafts sitting here that can be bought off our dyno testing section.

If you buy one of our dyno test blowout camshafts for $300 you could easily sell your camshaft & be out next to no money. It'd be hard not to do for that price!

just put a set of slp 1.85 rockers on that cam you have, pretty sure it was designed for higher ratio rockers anyways. I think they are 360.00 shipped now. your lift will increase to .570 .581 and your duration will bump up 1-2 degrees, 222-226.

Do you realy think im making good power?

My kooks headers are going on this sat, and ill dyno shorty after.
I see most guys with my mods, a ~228 cam and headers put down just over 400...

....But with the cam now on the stock headers I put 360hp 349tq, you think headers will give me 40 hp ?

Cause I though my numbers were kinda low...

Those numbers would be right about 390whp on a dynojet. Put the 1.85 rockers on and pick up anoter 12-15whp and 18wtq. The headers will be a nice gain too. Actually I would do the headers first, then the rockers.

on the stang dyno your doing pretty good. like stated above you would be at about 390 on a dynojet. I think if you milled your heads to get max compression without flycutting you could make pretty good power. Going to a bigger cam will move you power up in the powerband but keeping that cam and adding good heads and more compression will keep the power lower and make monster torque.

ahh ok, I dynoed at slow hawk in M.A. not sure how generous his mustang dyno is compared to a dyno jet.

I ran short on cash when it came to buy the headers, but I got them now . They will be going in on this sat.
1 7/8 kooks with cats.

I guess its just hard to compare numbers with other ppl cause seems like every dyno reads diffrent. Even some of the mustang dynos read hhigher or lower then others...
