I think I`ll copy and past these to advise any one just starting on a budget lol

do the free mods then:

1-lid #
2-headers and Y pipe used or new plus extensions or corvette rears I think (check local laws for what you can put and pass inspection) #
3-magnaflow or hooker muffler only or an electric 3" DMH cut-out #
4-exchange your throttle body for an already ported tb from one of the famous porters on ls1tech #
5-underdrive pulley #
6-used 243 or 799 heads (valve guide port job if cheap a semi port if you`d like to do it if 150$ and lower if possible or cancel) #
7-cometic .040 head gaskets
8-valvesprings (see what nitrous guys will advice you comp918 pac patriot gold or tsp)
9-a cam not less than 228-232 or a custom one for your set up and nitrous for your goals or stealth , or cheatr or gt11 for stealth #
10-pushrods (use or get the shop to use a lengh checker then buy) #
11-trans cooler #
12-stall converter #
13-3.73 gears
14-a wet nitrous kit and a window switch or nitro dave if you have the money and like the stealth #
15-dynotune and ask the tuner if it`s ok to descrean the maf (personally I`ve put fast toys plastic maf ends)

*spare drag radial tyres for track use or mounted on spare two used rims the same as your current size (or new cheap aftermarkets even if not the same as your rims looks wise)
*ask if you`ll need a higher flow pump and/or bigger fuel injectors

just some thoughts that might help

the # means ok to buy used but try low milage and clean and the guy checked it by a shop and you saw pics of it front back sides and was ok when removed.

Im thinking of going for a 3600 stall and wet system
rpm switch.
Which cam and heads would be good for nitrous setup?

LOL he's a character off of Leave it to Beaver. An old TV show. He would be super polite to adults and always tell them what they wanted to hear. But in reality he was always getting into trouble and doing the opposite of what he said he was doing. Hope that helps. Hahaha

for the heads as I told you used 243 or 799 (remember you`ll buy springs and install them above their price) for budget or prc 5.3 stg 2.5 if you`re paying can`t go wrong with those

for a cam look for the range I told you and above ... look for the idle and drivability quality you want and most cams are ok with even a 150 rwhp shot

for the stall I don`t know most people like the 3200-3600 search and ask and if custom the cam powerband will suit your stall , set-up and rpm range better.

if i were you, i would do neither!! i would save the money and get your transmission beefed up and get a strong 12 bolt first.
