Squeaking noise from somewhere, need opinions Well, I wasn't really sure where to put this, but I think it is something internal.
Started my car up today and there was no noise, got to where I was going and heard a squeaking noise from under the hood. I thought it may have been a pulley but had a hard time pinpointing it, so I pulled the belt. The noise was still there.
Here is a video of the noise. I can hear it mainly on the driver side it seems, over the top of the manifold and also under the car. The video itself sucks but you can hear the noise as I move to different locations.
Any ideas? I am hoping it is something simple like something in the valvetrain or like a pilot bearing (but I doubt it's that simple). Noise is there clutch in or out and the noise is RPM dependent, but it does not seem to get any louder with RPM (the noise of the car drowns it out). Oil pressure also seems OK and the oil is brand new and still looks that way. Just trying to point out everything I have checked so far, haven't had a lot of time to check anything else.
Any feedback is appreciated.

I am thinking (and hoping) that this is valvetrian due to the frequency of the noise. I just wonder what failure could cause this noise? For those looking, the idle is at 1050 RPM.
Are you sure it is not belt or idler noise maybe power steering pump? If you think it may be belt, when it is running you can give it a small squirt of water with the hose and if the noise goes away it might be time for a new belt or tensioner. You can also undo the belt and see how free alternator, water pump and idler pulleys turn. Anything that feels rough or is even squeaking might be your problem. Good luck i hate squeaks and rattles.

I am not saying by any means this is your prob but since you have elimintaed accessory pulleys I have seen once a spun bearing squeak. Seen videos of it here too which helpped me diagnose. One bearing will not necessarily cause an OP drop either....
A UOA will tell you you if there is a lot of bearing material in the oil and may help...

Yeah, my heart hopes it is valvetrain but my mind knows it is probably bottom end. This thing revs so damn fast that the limiter can't catch it anymore without going a few hundred RPM over.
I will find out soon. I am going to pull all the rockers/pushrods/plugs for each cylinder, one at a time. If the noise is still there, I guess the motor is going to come out.

Definitely in the valve train on #5. Based on how the noise was being transmitted, I assume it is a lifter. The noise went away when I pulled the rockers and pushrods, then came back when I took the stuff off #7 to put on #5. Dammit....although I guess there could be worse news lol
So that may mean a new cam now too if it is all cut up.

When lifters fail Here is the pic. Got the driver side tore down in 1.5 hours, didn't think I would have time tonight lol On to the passenger head then gonna yank the cam to check it out. Surprisingly looks good at first look through the lifter, figured it would be pretty tore up.

Yeah really. Looks like only lifters. Found 2 more, so a total of 3. Gonna pull the cam tomorrow. Not sure on the lifters, trying to decide on LS7 or Comp.

Yep. Hopefully the rest is good, but I feel pretty good about the stage I caught it at. The one that was making noise was not spinning it was sliding on the cam. Wonder how it got like that and how long it was like that also....
