Default 5.3 Lifters
I've got a set of 5.3 lifters have maybe 3-4K miles on them.

Would they be safe to run in my H/C LS1?

I mean with only 4k miles, thats not much.

Opinions??

You can run em but i'd just start saving pennies and get atleast some LS7 or Cadillac lifters if you save up enough.

People think the LS7 lifter is something special and it is not unique.

The 5.3L uses the same lifter as the LS7. Go to the dealer and have them look it up.

The replacement lifter for all ls engines is now the LS7 lifter. The original in the 5.3 is a different lifter!

That is correct but his 5.3 lifters will still work just fine.....

The lifters are out of a 2006-?? Engine(or whatever year they started that), with Cylinder cut out, so they are newer style too.

So, thks Guys, I'll be running them
