Question Idle increasing

This doesn't always happen, but it happens enough for me to want to know what's going on.

After my car warms up, the idle will increase up to about 1500RPM. if I turn the car off and push the gas petal a couple times, she's back to normal for a bit, but after some driving she does it again. anyone have any clues as what is causing this? I'm not getting any check engine lights either.

what year is your car? does it have a cable or a tac motor? Check engine light on?

I would start by checking for vac leaks...

I'll look for vac leaks, thanks

It's a 1999 Trans Am, non WS6. the engine light hasn't come on (yet).
I'm pretty sure it's cable but I could be wrong.
