How well do you think you'll hook up with 450-500rwhp and no suspension mods?

From a 3rd gear roll, he'll hook just fine... Put power down, then worry about suspension.

From his 1st post he was talking about the 1/8 mile, not from a roll.

Everyone should roll race every once and a while
JK, guess I missed that. Well, with a proper nitrous setup and window switch, he could lock out 1st gear from spraying. Or just throw on some nice sticky tires and work on his launch.

I voted suspension. LCA's, relocating brackets, rear sway bar, tq. arm, hals/qa1's=sub 1.70 60 fts...

he kind of left out that he also has an ss4000 converter, slicks mounted, and 4.30 gears. he will hit sub 1.7 60's the way he sits. gotta agree with some of the suspension things. throw a 150 at it ben. then go hit a 6.9 1/8th.

If your going to do the 408, then the cam is a waste of money.IMO I would save up for the supension and spray. I would do them at the same time. Good luck

He said he'd get a 408 when his LS1 goes....who knows how long that could be if it only has 70k miles...it could last until 200k and another 8 years. lol

It sounds like the OP can only afford one or the other. Which is the whole reason for the thread in the first place. By using that assumtion it might take him 8 years to save up for a 408. Also when you use spray, engine's tend not to last as long. IMO

Yeah that's a valid point which is why I said cam if he's not planning on getting the 408 anytime soon. It'd be a little easier on the motor and give him enough to run a respectable time at the track.

suspension is my vote and if he wants to bracket race then a cam would be better for running the same time everytime
