DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS CRAP! Like everybody else has already said, unless you like to gamble on replacing your motor just call a rollback and have it towed to where it needs to go.

+1 to EDS01SS, notice there's only one guy saying 'drive it'. As for being 'like chicken little', I'd rather be careful than risk ******* up more ****. Most of us don't have a lot of cash laying around... ****, I'm on no budget for my car right now, and I'm still being a cheapskate. That's just the better way to do it IMHO.

More then likely it will probably be fine no more then you have to drive it, but I wouldn't risk it. Get a tow strap IMO.

THe uhaul thing would be your best bet since u want to move it as cheap as possible...i think its only like $20 a day to use that tow thing, just move it slowly through the gravel and make sure you have clearance, if not then drive it for those last 2 miles LOL

Why risk turning a $200 tow or $20 dolly rental into a 2k-3k new motor problem. Tow it! And don't listen to the ONE guy who is telling you to drive it, listen to the majority

There is no way I would drive my car with a bent valve. I would rather pay the $200 to get it towed.

Im with these guys never done it with an fbody but we have had to tow a few of our beater cars home a ways with my dads truck. I just ride in the car, steer, and ride the brakes a lil at stops to keep the rope tight and from jerking when he takes off. Its cake and did I mention free!

[QUOTE=99RTA;12326219]Drive it Drive it Drive it

Do not listen to this assclown he has no clue ... notice that he is the onely one saying drive it...he has no horse in the race so to speak..he's gambling with your money......it is pretty EZ to figure out...$20-$200 for what ever way you tow it...or drive it and drop a valve and your out a couple of grand or more depending on the internal damage...good luck to ya ...

Its not that Im cheap, just broke. If I wasnt broke, it wouldn't be sitting all winter waiting to be fixed in the first place.

My real main concern is that im 4hrs away and so its going to be my dad, or my grandpa, or my uncle thats going to do the moveing. Out of those my Dad is the most knowlegdeable on my car and how low it is and everything but the only problem is that we just started corn harvest so idk if he would be able to find time to do it. On that note, tow rope is out. I dont trust them towing it like that. The Uhaul car dolly is where Im leaning. Ill call THE Uhaul place tomorrow and see if they have one. It is pretty low so I hope the bumper/exhaust doesnt rub.

Any tips on towing it with the car dolly to be easy on the rear end and transmission?

yeah, put it in neutral, you also have to lock the steering straight.

You'd be better off the other way around.
