Pour some Lucas Oil treatment in there and beat the living **** out of it. The rings will seal up nice. It's typical to have a little oil consumption in the first 500 miles until everything seats.

And BTW, it's much easier to pull all the rockers off when doing a leak down test. That way you don't have to focus as much on getting the piston perfectly to TDC, and assured both valves are closed and sealed for testing. 100psi is the general rule on how much air to put in each cylinder, if you leak down to 90psi, you've got 10% leakdown. 80psi is 20%, and so forth.
