Which cam?
MS3, MS4, Torquer V.2, Tick's Polluter, or F13/F14 112 lsa??
I have a 1999 SS (DD) with pacesetter longtubes, off-road y, 4:10's, FIPK ll, and all free mods. I would love to get 400hp
WHICH ONE?!

the question is, can you tolerate the behavior of the car with a huge cam, if your after the sound, you can get that with alot of cams out there. Also alot of cams out there can make 400hp and can be alot more fun and easier to drive around, specially if thats all youve got to drive. Normally Id also say throwing more power at that 10 bolt isnt a good idea, but hell if you look at it wrong itll break, so have at it lol.

lol it wont disappoint you, also see if your buddy would let you drive his car for a day or 2, really get a feel for much you can deal with. Some people honestly dont give a damn, some dont get a damn..but day in day out driving really will take a toll on you.

You don't always have to go big. In my old motor I made 413hp/391tq with the Torquer 2 and beat 3 cars with MS3s (2 A4s, 1 M6). If it's a DD, there are better cams out there.

agreed with properly setup car you can still run big numbers...just check out my times and my 230/230 cam...dont just try to make all the power with the cam swap think about streetability...there are plently of other bolt ons that you can get that will gain that little extra top end you lost by going with a smaller cam...

I've got the Torquer v2, daily drive it in nice weather, and love it! Its on a 112 LSA, got a little lump in the idle, while still on the stock tune! Gave a definitely noticeable bump in SOTP horsepower, and can't wait to get some other power adders on there and get it to the dyno! I think I will go bigger next time, and btw this is through an M6, stock tranny/clutch/rearend. Gears would help me bigtime, a good verter if your an auto.

Oh and I wouldn't bet on getting even close to 400 if you don't get at least an LS6 intake or preferably a FAST setup unless I misread your mods. I would probably put myself at about 340-350 with my Torquer, lid, longtubes, dumped LM1 and that is just judging from how it felt from stock to where it is now, no dyno yet.
