The numbers that impress me aren't on the dyno at all. They're at the track. I don't care if it dynos 500 RWHP on the dyno. Until I see some good trap speeds (for all factors considered such as raceweight, DA, etc...) I'm not impressed. Dynos are tuning tools only.

For me:
415rwhp with a 12 bolt/9'' with a mild cam/good heads or big cam/mild heads setup.

425 with 12bolt/9'' with good heads/(224+ cam)

435+ with 12bolt/9'' with good to excellent heads and a bigger cam (230+ on both intake and exhaust).

Of course my new setup doesn't really count, nor do my opinions as I don't think any cam short of something on a 100 LSA with .800 lift is undriveable with good tunning.

On a serious note, anything over 420/395 through a 9/12/8.8 is stout. We fail to realize and sometimes take for granted that outside the LS1 world, 400 rwhp is faster than 99.9% of all the other normal cars on the road.

Tell me about it. I've been researching the feasibility of building a carbed SBC or BBC for my 2000 Z28, and I've gotten spoiled by how easy it is to make ~500 FWHP with a motor that consists of mostly stock parts.

But, it is that other .1% that we worry about. LMAO at your cam specs in your sig, BTW.

Yes with my point list I was refering to M6 cars...I'm not exactly sure what to make of the A4 dyno unless the converter is locked.

Gimme some #s. I wanna see the general consensus on whats the norm for todays standards.

....just wanting some ideas on where people stand.
Well, we gave our opinions, now what is yours? What is a "good" dyno number for a "daily driveable, M6, full boltons, moderately sized cam, ported heads" and a 12 bolt with 4.11s (which, unless it suits your argument, shouldn't be a factor because, "99% of cars dyno use a 3.42 geared 10 bolt, if you believe everything on the internet...."

So, master of all things internally combustible, what is your opinion, where do you stand? What is a "good" number for the example you gave above?
