For that price it could be a great deal!! All depending on what you get exactly, there are several small things that could add up $ wise if it doesn't come with it:

Main bearings, rod bearings, cam bearings, freeze plugs, oil galley plugs, and so on.

We are a proud new sponsor of LS1TECH but not new at all to the LSX engine business! I don't have anyspecials posted just yet but I will very soon!! If you can shoot me an email or PM with some details; what your looking for and what you would like to spend. I would be more than happy to put you a quote together for a new short block balanced with all the "have to" have parts you will need and not break the bank!!

If I can help shoot me a pm or email!!

All depends on who builds it. Some cheap engines are great some fall apart. It's not the price but who builds it. You could spend 3x's that and still get a boat anchor.

Our boost iron block 347 is $3300 with Wiseco pistons

Our 5.3/5.7 Iron Block package assembled is $1799.99. If you were to add the forged rods it would be $2299.99, fully assembled.

So, this isn't a bad price.

All depends on the intended use of the engine. Agree with all other comments also

Kevin, Floydada is a long trip to you, but we have options!! We can ship to you Fedex or truck freight and "should" have it to you next day if not in two for sure. Or the other option is we go to the Dallas area all the time for various reasons so we could meet you there. Long story short we can make it work no problem!!
