OK had the tranny checked got a thumbs up on it, had some tuning done car responds a lot better A/F is a lot better now gonna take it to the track tomorrow and see what it does I'll keep you posted!

A looser converter will bang the rev limiter if it is not tuned for it. Your computer shifts off of 2 variables, speed and shift rpm. You have to calculate an offset for the speed because you will see the rpm before the speed with a large stall. Personally I calculate a slip percentage to correlate with the size converter, and offset the shift speed accordingly. I know hptuners will allow you to change both speed and rpm, I'm not sure what he diablo lets you do. Hope this helps.

What kind of convertor are you running? I went back and forth trying to figure out whether it was my 4L60E or my CPU at fault for a while. They make an electronic tranny test box that lets you command the shifts manually. I would suggest you find one locally or borrow one and determine whats causing your problems. I had my 4L60E rebuilt by a VERY Dependable shop and but it still couldn't handle the increased output of the modified motor. I bought a Stage 2 Performabuit 4L60E and that solved my rev. limiter banging problem. And I sold the tranny I just got rebuilt to someone with a stock setup and his car shifts like a champ a 6000. John at Performabuilt had some of these test boxs at one time if you can't find one locally.
After the tranny was installed my tuner readjusted my shifts points at the track and cutoff at least .25 off my times just with tuning.

Most 4l60e's will not shift manually at the moment of shift. Leave it in od. Mine did the same thing manually shifting. Then I went turbo 350 4500 stall. Now it shifts where I want it to.

only problem other than your trans and tune i would say is running 4.10 with a big stall on street tires... you are leaving a lot on the table.... also i went through the same problem with the tranny... could never get it to shift right till i got mine built so i would suggest a good build. Also i think 3.73 would have been a better choice with that big of a stall.... imo anyways.

I'm not running street tires I have Nitto 555 drag radials.

I think you need a bigger converter. For reference, my tr-224 and 3200 converter cut 1.69-1.70 60fts all day on 555Rs with 3.23 gears and long-tubes. You cant foot-stall that converter very high bc of the 4.10 gears. I personally think you need a 4000-4400 converter to make it leap out of the hole. If the tires will hold

ok figured it out swapped out my stall with a buddy's 4400 and it was night and day different counld't get a time slip but my trap speed was 118 mph thanks for all the help.

There was definitely something wrong with your old converter. It wasn't just the smaller size because a smaller converter will mph a larger one all day.
