Default engine rebuild with a cam

hi out there, im in the process of rebuilding the ls1 out of my 98 ss m6, i plan on putting in a better cam but im having trouble finding information about the best cam to use with the stock heads.

you should get the heads ported or atleast get some 243's or 706 heads since you are building the motor.

yeah im pretty budgeted so even though i would like to buy some new heads i think im going to do some port work on the heads instead

its my daily driver, but it will see a few runs at the track

224/228 or 224/230 is something along the lines of what I would look into if i was you.

Try to keep it about 2-4 degrees of overlap.
