PS The history is very easy to find ... but I my case I was there when it happened. But just to help you out Sneaky Pete Robinson surprised everyone and won the US Nationals with his small block chevy .... but that was a isolated occurance to say the least.

Sorry Miller wasnt the driver but the sponser. I tried looking but I cant find where they list past wins for the events. You dont seem to understand how things work. The hemi engine gets these cars down the track quick enough so there is no need to change. Do you realize how much it would cost to change the powerplant in all those cars. To do so they would have to design all new parts to withstand 8000hp which would be extremely expense. Now if one person decide to change they would have to pay all the expense for design. Also you got to be kidding me if you think 50 year old motor is the best we can come up with these days.
How are the HEMI PS cars running in MPH?

If you want to understand what makes the HEMI so great, you have to understand a little more about airflow than the average "hotrodder". You're not going to find a 2 valve cylinder head that can perform like a HEMI. Just compare the port design between a SBF/LS1, a SBC, and a HEMI. The HEMI port is a straight shot into the center of the cylinder. The other ones are angled either into the bore wall, or angled into the bore center. I'm sure you can find the concept behind "Twisted Wedge" in a Summit catalog.

This just proves you know nothing of what it cost to design a motor to withstand that kind of hp. You would rather just respond with childish comments.

FLOW NUMBERS: http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/sh....php?p=3294584 (off yellowbullet)
According to that link, these flow 408 CFM at .800 lift.
I don't know about you guys, but there is a guy local to me down here in SFL who has LS7 heads breaking the 400cfm at .700 barrier. I've seen them flowed personally. On average, his LS7s flow about 396 cfm @ 700.
So.... Basically this is bullshit and BARELY outperforms LS7s on flow, on top of having the classic shitty combustion chamber of a hemi. The reason there aren't any real HEMI heads on production engines anymore? INEFFICIENT! They WILL NOT pass emissions because of the "orange peel" shape of the combustion chamber. Hemis are fine for racing and WOT operation, not for street use.

Another product designed for LS motors to appeal to old(er) people with nostalgia, deep pockets, and a need to ruin an otherwise good LS motor. Carbureted hemi-headed LS1, oh joy.
Note: not trashing on old-school hemis, I know they make awesome power on the track. But for what you use an LS motor for (streetable, efficient power that usually passes emissions and always gets some MPGs) these heads probably
. If you want a hemi head, get a old school hemi.
Totally defeating the purpose of an LS motor in my opinion. It's (much) bigger, (much) heavier, (much) less efficient, and (hardly) flows more. Flame on, people.

Hi All-
Thanks for all the kind words about our new LS Hemi heads. I have a correction to the previously posted price of our head assembly.
The complete LS-AH Hemi conversion kit, without manifold, retails for $9036.00. This was incorrectly published before as $18K.
Since there are many intake manifold choices we list them separately. We currently offer a cast supercharger manifold with interchangeable tops for Magnuson and GMC-style blowers. This can also be adapted to turbocharger, EFI and carb applications. Retail is ~$950.00.
Nick 3rd.
