I did but Im an idiot and I forgot to take out the last p/s pushrod and I thought that dowel was in far enough.

You may be able to fish it out, but by the time you manage to do it (miracle included) it would have probably taken you less time to pull the head. Good luck.

Update: so I took off the heads and valley cover and within 5 minutes had fished it out through the back valley cover. Thanks for your help everyone!

Just my opinion but it would have been much simpler to drop the engine/trans out from underneath and actually be able to see what you're working on. Took me three hours to drop mine out using floor jacks and jack stands. Keep it in mind if you end up tearing into another one.
