Like I said, if the pushrod is not hitting the head when the motor isn't running and you are simply turning the motor over by hand, then it's coming into contact due to pushrod flex. Opening up the cylinder head will simply allow the pushrod to flex even more and won't get rid of the contact.

Do what you want, I simply offered a solution, take it or leave it.

I am having trouble finding anyone that sells the 3/8 rods, any recommendations? I am putting in the TSP Torquer v2 with double springs as well, do you think the 7.4" rods would be a good length? Thanks for your input.
