What causes this to happen ?

After taking the motor apart there IS melting around the vertical edge of the pistons 5 and 7 .
After finding out all the proper values my friend wrote me back and said .
" I keep getting 13.1:1 for compression ratio and I’ve tried like 3 different sites online.
Also, that makes the dynamic compression ratio 11.6… WAY too high for pump gas. "

Not to beat up on you about the pistons getting too hot but any time you can see a gap that big around a piston its obvious the piston melted away. I guess you thought i meant the broken area looked melted. Another sure sign a piston is getting hot is the shiny look to the edges of the piston. They should look exactly ike they went in the engine but with some carbon on then after the engine is run.
