Default PCV poll

Truly what works best and why?

I have read a whole **** load of stuff. and everybody has their own opinion on what works best.

From what I know (SBC Gen1) a PCV system is a must, because it vents out all the gases and helps seals not blow out.

I was under the impression that stock ls1 systems suck, there is not baffle for the PCV valve, and it sucks oil at high RPMS. The best cure for this is a Ls6 valley cover, and a catch can.

Any other opinions?

Just add a Catch Can to your current system.

If you still have the stock pcv system on your 99, just adding a catch can to the system will help A lot, especially if you mount it away from direct engine heat. That's what I did with my car.

You don't want to completely remove your PCV system on a street car. if you have the time I will go with the LS6 Valle cover, but a catch can should do the job.

04 and up valley cover, places the PCV restriction under the cover and cleans up the engine compartment. I use this with a catch can.

breather on each valve cover. that's it. the inside of my intake is spotless. but you do have to stay on top of your oil changes, because oil will get contaminated more easily. i do synthetic oil every 3000miles.
