so i have a complete ls1 from a 2000 ws6 transam.. i want to know whats the most budget set up i could do.. like parts from a 6.0 5.3 etc... im trying to see how little money i can spend on it to make around 450hp.. i know ill have to buy a cam and gaskets and stuff like that.. other than that i wanna see how cheap i can build it. ill be doing all the work to it btw.

450 on motor can be done with cam only...450 at the wheels is gonna take some descent heads too. I suppose a set of $400-500 243's and a nasty cam could do it. Oh and your gonna need a LS6 intake if it doesnt already have one

1- rebuild motor
2- do bolt ons
3- stick a fairly big cam in.

Budget, Hmmm, 4>5K $$ ought to do it.

do you really think it will cost that much to rebuild it if i use the stock rotating assembly? so far im thinking stock bottom end. arp rod bolts. 243 heads ls6 intake not sure on the cam but prob a big one.

Rebuild no but sum of all parts and labor done properly, yes.
To achieve 450rwhp that is.
If you research parts carefully and do some of the install yourself.
