Default rebuild ls1 or 383 stroker

Rebuilding ls1 is the same as building 383 stroker right ? Just want to know where can I get the kit for making my ls1 engine 383. It just the same right don't know which way to go anybody know? Thanks in advance

What will it cost? What gains in horespower would it be from stock ls1 and a 383 stroker?

Ultimately the gains depend on head and cam selection.

Your picking up 37 extra cubes I would hope to see 1hp gain per cube at the very least and if you figure on 1.5 your talking 55.5

But it comes down to intake heads cam exhaust. Eliminate restrictions and you gain the most obviously. 450-600 all depends on how its setup

383s happen because people have LS1/5.3 blocks to work with, said Capt. Obvious.

Well since were bringing up the dead... screw a 383.... do a 374... 3.90 crank instead of a 4.0....to keep the pistons in the bore...

4.0 crank is fine. Wont have any issues with pistons especially with modern piston designs.

I hate when that happens lol, happened to me on the HDforums but some how the thread that was related on the bottom was talking about a break kit from 2012 and my post said for the guy to check out the fullsac headers for the build....i felt like a little bit of a tard so lesson learned now I always do a quick double check to make sure im responding to the right thread
