Got my Ported LS6 Oil Pump, Quick Q's Just got this thing and was just making sure this is right... Is the gear thing in the middle supposed to move all around? Seems like it might be broken. And should I put some oil through it before bolting it on? Thanks

That is perfectly normal.
Oil wouldn't hurt, but alot of it will spill out when you are bolting it on. Some assembly lube on the gears is really all that is needed.

You could put some oil in it, but it would run out when you put it on. The hole is on the bottom.
