I am using arp rod bolts and they do not completely sit flush to the rod cap due to a taper at the head of the bolt. Is this normal? Or should they push through when torquing them? They are about a 1/4" longer than the ones i pulled out too.

Please help so i can get the motor back together tonight. Thanks.
