pm'ed with some info but decent heads good sized cam and a FAST92+ it shouldn't be an issue. The bottom end can be done a for a few different costs from a Callies C series crank and Scat rods to a Magnum XL and Carrillo rods so it comes down to budget.
Some AFR 225's on top of a Callies Compstar rotating assembly, Wiseco pistons, ported FAST 92+ intake and your there with a stout combo on the medium to slightly higher than medium price range. TFS heads and WCCH Edelbrocks are a good way to go as well.
You can spend less on the heads if you want, some PRC's or TEA's would do the job as well as as any good ported OEM head.
All depends on budget

lots of 346/347 ls1s doing it these days, so a 383 should do it no problem..however the one cosistant things about those combos is heads..weather they were stock castings ported by cartek or tea. or tfs or afr all high dollar respectively in there class.. cant seem to go budget on a ls1 and achieve a lofty goal..

383ci here, stroked and Forged of course.
AFR 205 heads, ported my Tony Mamo and matching AFR 234/238 cam, Fast 90 (ported) and TB to match.
With appropriate springs & pushrods, EWP, ASP balancer all running through a set of kooks 1 3/4" headers with cats into a GMMG exhaust system - puts down exactly at 500rwhp!
