Default Cam Helpp!

I have 01 z06 and im putting my motor back in and wanted to put a little hot cam in it. And i went up to the dealer ship and they said they dont make a hotcam for a ls6?

My friend has a 01 z06 and had a hotcam in it..
The specs he thinks were like a .525/.525 and like a 216/224 112lsa?

I cannot find which cam it is in their catalog. Ive looked for Gen 3 hot cam no luck.

Can anyone help me with a part number or if they even make one??

are you looking for smooth idle? how high do you rev? drivability or race cam? dyno day big rwhp #'s? i chose the zo6 2002 ls6 cam which positives stock idle, you wouldnt know i have a cam if i didnt tell you. neg low dyno #'s. i wish i'd gone slightly bigger. i think i've seen a hotcam at s*mm*t. reminder with ANY cam you need better springs! ls6 springs are good upto 570 lift. i would go even better (springs) if you rev to 6500 rpm or beyond. the hot cam i remember seeing was only 525 lift but 218/228 dur. read the cam sticky, the board likes tr224 114 lsa would be good all around cam. just my 2 cents. my ls6 cam 550 lift, 218/204 dur on a 117 lsa.

Throw a tr220 or tr224 in there with some PAC springs and hardened pushrods and call it done.

I too have an 01 Z. I had put in a G5 cam fro LG Motorsports when engine was reringed for oil consumption. Dyno'ed 388rwhp 396 rwtq. Still did 28 mpg its like 224/230 581/572
A little rock & roll at idle good street manners. This with CAI headers 30# injectors high flow CATS.
Good Luck

"This regrind is done by a company that has been serving many speed shops in my area for years. It will have a fresh grind with no runs.If you are not familiar with the regrind process it is like copying a key."

Put a $125 reground camshaft in a Z06 Corvette?

There's just something truly wrong with that....

Not no, but hell no. Remember...cam is internal. Would you want something in your car that you bought off of ebay to save a couple hundred (performance wise)? Check out Texas Speed, LG motorsports, Futral motorsports and others
