5.3 block bore

I wonder it is worth to do 5.3 block bore to 5.7 on Iron cast block. I want to make sure this not going make any cause overheat or something? If things are fine. THen I might go buy someone 5.3 longblock in Sc really cheap $ And I can tear up and built up to 5.7 and run 317 heads for turbo project. I need to know what size bore 3.908? What safetly to bore without thin wall.

3.905 and yes it is totaly safe, add a nice 4' crank and you have a pretty stout 402

But otherwise yeah, good way to make a boost 346.

You mean a 383, right?

I say go for it. I'd want to do the same thing, I've seen 5.3L blocks go for $75!!

In an iron block I don't think you'll run into a problem. However, I would go with the smallest bore available for the rotating assembly. Wiseco offers a 3.903" bore piston as well as a 3.905" bore. Either would work great! We have Diamonds in a 3.905' bore as well. Let us know if we can help get you fixed up with any parts for your build!

I dont want 383 ha. Want switch to 5.3 to 5.7 mean 325 to 346ci I thought 3.898 start to bore? But hey where did you see 5.3 block for 75? I cant find that so cheap!
