Gonna be doing a HC swap soon. Should I replace my stock lifters? What lifters are everyone using? Any benefits to using an aftermarket lifter? Thanks

well, how many miles do you have on your current ones. check them out and if they seem pretty worn then replace them. most of us dont, i swapped mine out during a head install at 96k miles. they were still in decent condition but since i was pulling the heads i figure why not replace them. im running the comp oe lifters.

Majority of the engine builders and race teams are using stock OEM roller lifters, unless you are running above say 7500 RPMs. I would stick with the stock lifters as they are a very hi quality design. The vast majority of performance lifters, are the same OEM lifter your engine has, with maybe just a spring change.
