what are the biggest valves you can put in an ls1

On the stock seat we have put a 2.04" valve before but more commonly put a 2.02". With aftermarket seats I've seen some heads with 2.100"+ valve sizes.

On a LS1/LS6 block, L92 heads will not fit. L92 heads will require a 4"+bore size.

alright what would be a good hp head a stock one from gm
what about the 243 ls6 heads?

I believe the 243s are the best heads you will find (not counting the L92s).
The 317s flow similar to the 243s but have bigger combustion chambers.
So, it would depend somewhat on the compression ratio you would like to achieve.
