spend the money on the heads gettings worked on because a decent cam and decent heads wont get you in the 10's.
there is a few 10 second a4 camaros such as chris up there but like i said theres only a FEW!
btw spend the 150-200 bucks on that ram air that chris1313 sells, its and awesome product and can give you an extra 2-3mph. best bang for the buck!
If you are on a budject just get a good valve job and mill the heads(59-60cc)...that will give great gains, and thow in a healthy cam, doesnt have to be huge to run 10s as i am proof of that, i went 10.81 in -400 da air at 3250 raceweight with my stock 10 bolt and 3.23 gears with a ls6 intake...i added the 4.10s aluminum spool and ported fast 92 with -900 da(better) air and only gained .2 tenths for about $3,500...but i didnt feel like rebuilding the 10 bolt so it was bound to be replaced sooner or later...i would look into yank too i absolutely love their ss4000 converter, hopefully it still performs just as good with my new heads and cam package come spring...fingers crossed...
edit just saw you have the ss4000

Yeah chris after posting that last night i got to thinking. Instead of spending the $400-$600. on some heads and then having them worked. I can just get your cam and springs when you pull it out. Then use the head money for your ram air kit, some 3.73's and little more suspension. Going to the track tomorrow to see if it can pull off some 11 sec SI passes. Then i can go from there.
yeah with my cam and the ram air that is going to be around a 75rwhp+ gain, i can even include the pushrods too for a package deal since i need longer ones for my TFS heads...
...i will let you know when i get it out... yeah with my cam and the ram air that is going to be around a 75rwhp+ gain, i can even include the pushrods too for a package deal since i need longer ones for my TFS heads...
