ok i try again. i got LM7 wich came with 706 head. are this good to send or do i need different head? i just look for opinion to see what else is being use on engines and if my head are good. thank you.
that is alot better. i wont retract my previous statements, but just act like the thread started from here and not post 1. But still, complete thoughts are better.
5.3 heads have SOME potential, but they would have to be treated right to make them work for you. If you pair them up with a good camshaft, then it will work even better. i would look at a top end package from someone like TSP or TEA or Patriot. They will help you out alot.

Come on guys he is wanting to know what head can be used instead of the stock 706. What would be better than a 706 on a 5.3. To the OP they do have 243 castings for the 5.3. The only cars that I know of that have them would be the Monte SS or the Imp SS or the Lacrosse super. That said I don't know anything about differences of the 5.3 heads other than I assume the 243's would be better?
