Default What all to look for in a head?

I've been looking at heads for my LQ4 from Patriot Performance. They offer different stages for the same price. What gives? The flow numbers are different but what all should I consider when making a head purchase (other than price)?

Look for people who have them and like them, look for dyno results, and chamber/port sizes.

if its a street car, be sure to stay with a smaller runner. like in the 210-220 cc range. this will give you better low end response. when you get a head with a 245cc intake runner, it will make great power up top but will lag pretty hard in the low end. the combustion chamber size is really just to make the compression ratio what you want. for N/A stick with stock or smaller size combustion chamber. larger sizes are to reduce comp ratio for turbo/supercharged cars

So stick with the smaller runner heads. What about valve sizes? Is bigger better?

Comp ratio
Your at 74cc
If you go to 64cc you will be at 11.00 to one. Thats 20 to 30 hp change right there.
