How are you keeping the lifters from falling in?
Make sure if you take the oil pump off you don't pinch the pickup O-Ring during re-installation.

Good luck

Good job bro, keep on truckin, I would go ahead and do an LS6 intake too to help it breathe better with the new cam and LT's. They are pretty cheap now, I just installed a similar grind cam, the new power is just awesome

You don't need header gaskets, just go to the dealership and get stock exhaust manifold gaskets. They don't leak.

You need to change your lifters and rockers for true reliability.

Degree the cam...i lined up the marks and made sure they were right on turned the motor 2 revo's by hand and they were still right on...I meant stock exhaust manifold gaskets in putting LT's.My car only has 7xk on it so i left the lifters and trays for right now i will be doing heads in a later date so when i do the heads i will do the lifters also than....Rockers looked fine still also when i do heads i will by stock rockers again also unless some after market ones will be ok but i was recommended the stockers for my cam

Ahhh...good times. Took me 15 hrs straight from start to finish. The exciting part is cranking it up for the first time and hoping it starts and runs fine. Get ready to hear the sewing machine noise on the initial start until the oil gets to circulate again. Also, be sure to get a tune immediately and try not to go over 2k getting to the place. Good idea to get an oil change after the first 100 miles....GL and lets hear that lope!

Yeah im scared to start it up ??? lol i run regularly mobil1 synthetic so should i change it to regular oil and than change after 100+ miles back to my synthetic or can i jsut run whast in there than change it ???? I left teh specs out because there is a few guys that are on my hit list for races and are doing some secret stuff and i dont want them to know my exact setup so they can build to my specs...Its just some friendly racing and competition they are mustang guys and we compete with eachother.....And honestly my tuner grab the cam card and only gave me very lil specs for secret reasons lol i dont even know what lobe it on ???lol but i will for sure put up some vids of the start and all teh good stuff i was told not to take it above 4k for awhile and let it do a good warm up nd cool down before i beat on her too...Causeim goona keep it truthful its a race toy and not a dd.She comes out for fun and money lol

hope the cam was cut correct... spinning it two times by hand is not degreeing...might wanna do a search...maybe I am just over cautious but there is no way I would just line it dot to dot with all the tolerances in cams, chains, sprockets, etc...it gives good piece of mind too...

why would he need to degree the cam if its been doctored and he has the cam card? he doesnt need to know to the thousandth the duration and lift. id say degreeing the cam is more for the cams mass produced, not the custom ones that are doctored with cam cards already.

at most, beings its 23x with .6xx lift biggest thing would be PTV clearance.
