Having trouble picking a cam Okay I'm looking to get a cam sometime this summer. My camaro would be considered a daily driver too. I already have 3" borla adjustable catback, 1 7/8 texas speed headers, and the slp intake. What cam do you guys think would work best with this set up?
It all depends on what you are looking for and your tuner. You could throw a smallish cam like a 224-228 for good street manners and decent power. If you want something with more power, try the torquer 2, ms3, or some other variation of a cam above 230 in duration.
im partial to the custom grind, but also wanting to suggest a few that quicksand has. id say if your looking for stock sound/feel, with a 30-40hp jump, 224-228 cams seem to do pretty well. look at the TR224 112 and 114. also do some research on what other people are using and if they like it. if you have a cam in mind, search it and see what people say.
