well i have a 240sx with my 04 ls1.

im at 326whp and 335 tq. all i have is headers, intake and a horrible exhaust that needs to be better/fixed cause its probably holding back 15-25hp.
well since my car is light as dirt tq isnt as big as hp right now cause i cant keep its from spinning out till 3rd im looking to break the 500 mark, i know a big leap of faith but why not.
any help?
im looking at a mid cam that helps improve the rpm9at least to 6.5), some heads but not sure what to go with, heard board zo6 ones are good.?...
better throttle body. any ideas? im wanting to stay away from nos and turbos.

Search is your friend. Every one of those questions has been answered about 3,000 times.

But FYI, with headers on an 04 engine you should be in the 340-350rwhp range. I'd get your restrictive issues taken care of with that first, before worrying about making 500hp.

you should be able to set up the engine properly to spin till 7k rpms with minamal stuff. port your stock throttle body

btw, i know i should be about 350w but i have my crapy exhaust.....
headers go to one 3'' to one stock gto cat to and magna flow exhaust. lol sucks
im porbably going to do dual x pipe dual 2.5 with resenators
i want it to stay as quit as possible but not hold so much back

 

the 04 ls1 has some revised internals so with new valve springs you should hit 7k no issues. free up the exhaust with some resonators and an extra muffler
