Patriot cam?
Are any of you guys running the Patriot cam? If so, how do you like it? Any dyno numbers? Also, does anyone know how aggressive the ramp rate is on it? Or what the duration is at .006?

Patriot cams aren't very good.
Give Geoff @ EPS a call about custom grinding you a cam. You'll pay a few dollars more but the results will be worth it.

How aggressive are you looking at going? My Stage 3 cam is quite aggressive, but also very streetable. Even out here in Los Angeles traffic, I don't have any problems with the car. I've put this cam in a few cars, all cam only with supporting mods (Long Tubes, Exhaust, Lid, Intake, Etc.) and they have all made excellent power.
My own personal car is a 2001 SS M6 and it made 427rwhp with untouched 241 heads, LS6 intake and a decent tune.

We dont give the specs out until you buy it, but once you purchase we give you a full cam card so you can install it properly.
I can say the specs are in the mid 230's on the intake and the low 240's on the exhaust. Lift is a shade over .600.

Would you have any idea if someone would have to flycut with 243 heads that are 61cc with that cam?

The lift on my cam is .600/.615. I have had excellent luck with the new revisions of the Comp 918 springs on this setup with no sign of valve-float or PTV clearance issues even all the way out to 6800rpm.

Flycutting is a possibility, but I think you would be fine. On stock 241/243 heads with stock thickness gaskets, they are fine with plenty of valve clearance.

I have the TSP PRC Stage 1 LS6 heads milled to 61cc.

And as far as the cam card goes, I do send it with my cams, but I respectfully request that my customers don't post the specs.

There is a possibility of needing to flycut the pistons. Your heads are milled quite a bit. I would obviously advise you to check and double check all clearances and everything before running it.
Thats not a question I can just blindly answer one way or the other to. Sorry.

The cam makes great power everywhere and in my personal car (2001 Camaro SS, bolt-ons, cam-only) it makes the power that we advertise and it still gets awesome mileage on the highway. I did a road rally from Los Angeles to Amarillo Texas and back and I averaged 25mpg the whole way.
These are the reasons why we offer a money back guarantee to our LS1tech members.
