The can made 400hp and about 395tq after tuning
with mac mid lenghts no cats
Just put the FLP's on.
And Iam going to get a ported TB and ASP underdrive pulley
Iam hopeing that with the FLP's and underdrive pulley and Ported TB
I will at least be at 425hp after I get it tuned again..
I want some more HP and TQ..
Schould I look into geting a 383 would that bring my HP and TQ up at least 40 to 50
If so what 383 kit schould I go with.. And will a 383 kit work fine with my heads and my cam..
Any prices??
Or would a 75 shot be the way to go.. I no that it would be alot cheeper.. But I just dont no what to go with..
I dont no if it safe to spray a 75 with the heads and cam I have.. Because my compression is like alot higher then stock right..
What schould I do??
thank You
Frank
if you are building either a 388 all bore (forged rods and pistons) or a 383 stroker (forged crank, rods, and pistons), then you could put A LOT of N2O on it......
Would it be the smartest thing for me to do next? To gain more HP and TQ or what? schould I do..
How much would the 388 cost? and would it work with my heads and cam?

The purpose of a stroker is for more torque not really for horsepower. You'll probably stay at the same hp level but with a lot more area under the curve.
Either combo would work with your heads/cam
The 388 all bore gives you the advantage for higher hp, higher revving.

Or to safe time and $$$ could I just spray like a 75 shot.?
what schould I do??
for a 383 stroker short block, look at least $3K before its all in (thats if you reuse your heads AS IS).....
for a 388 bore short block, look at least $4.5-$5K...possibly more before its in (again....heads AS IS)....
- forged pistons are ~$600-$700
- forged rods range from ~$400-$1200 depending on what you get
- forged cranks are ~$850-$2000 depending on what you get
then there will be bolts, gaskets, rings, bearing, etc.....to do just a basic bottom end rebuild (keep stock crank/rods and install forged pistons), I was looking at a minimum of $2000 and that is me pulling the motor from the car, disassembling it, reassembling it after all the machine work is done, and installing it back in the car......
There are LOTS and LOTS of people who spray 100-150 shots on completely stock bottom ends all day long. If you tune it correctly, you won't have any problems with what you have now. If you really want some insurance, install a set of ARP bolts in the rods (this can be done with the motor in the car).
You could even bump up to a 100 shot and be fine.
