Max Effort TR230 heads&cam build

Default Max Effort TR230 heads&cam build

I have done the searching and the most hp I have seen out of a 230/224 .575/.563 111 LSA is 440rwhp. Has any one done a max effort build with a Tr230 with heads like TEA 243 stage 1.5s or something similar. Is 450rwhp/420ftlbs or better possible with this cam?

It is definitely possible with the right heads and compression but I have a new grind we've been working with which may give an increase over the 230 with similar idle and driveability characteristics. PM me or give me a call and I'll be happy to discuss. We are also a TEA dealer so I can put you a smokin package deal together.

I definitely think over 450rw is possible. My 440rw was on a very conservative dyno, and judging by my 3450lb raceweight and best mph of 128.25 I'd say that is true. I'm eventually going to port my LS6 castings but I'm obsessed with hitting 130 on unported LS6s with the TR230 NA. PM on the way to XtraCajunSS though, I'm very curious about the new cam. Thanks,

Would like some more info on your build 440hp with unported 243s. Are they milled? If so how much?

I'm very interested in this as I too have a TR230 & am wanting to go max effort on my setup as well. I was planning on some AFR 205's w/a FAST intake port matched to them, & upgrading fuel pump & injectors. I feel 450 rwhp is within reach after these mods. Car see's track time 4-5 times a year & would pretty much be a corner carver/AutoX car.....I'm assuming to see 500 to the wheels, the TR230 would need to come out & replaced? I'm afraid it won't clear the heads?
