Default Retainer question

I bought a set of TFS heads used from a member on here, and I have been doing a lot of looking and researching, and I just noticed that the color of my spring retainers are black. I know that the TFS heads are suppose to come with titanium retainers, but every titanium retainer I see is silverish looking.

So what I am asking here is do I have titanium retainers or did I get screwed and the guy replaced them with some steel ones?

Do they look like this?

If so, those are spring locators and not retainers. They go below the spring.

oh, now I see what you're up to. You got screwed cause, like you said, the titanium retainers are silver in color. Steel are black.

some of the ti retainers have a hard coating on the changing their color just try sticking a magnet to them if it sticks their steel.
