So you haven't had it to the dyno yet? Hard to make a recommendation as to how you can get 450rwhp if we don't know where we are now. But if you're close on that 400rwhp baseline mark, a 50rwhp gain from the heads is a pretty healthy chunk of power! I'd say for that kind of gain, you'll be looking at the PRC 215 heads. They are the aftermarket casting head we've developed with all the right features to make the big power! They are a bit more expensive, but for those power gains you're going to need all the help you can get! At $2149 per pair outright fully assembled, they aren't breaking the bank as compared to the other aftermarket casting heads of the same quality, and you don't have to run roller tipped rockers on them either like the competitors!
If you've already got a spring kit that is still in like new condition, you could transfer it over to the 215's and save an additional $200 and get them for $1950 without the spring kit!
Let us know if we can help!

For $1,800 (if you currrently have a good spring kit) The PRC stg 2.5 5.3's and a 92mm FAST would be close to that amount....and if you really like their 243's better they might be able to work you a deal.....
In my case I got a great deal on a set of 59cc PRC stg 2.5 5.3's and am very pleased with them...no numbers yet but cam only I was 390/375 in my 04 GTO and recently I added the heads and had the LS6 intake cleaned up and mouth opened to 85mm (to fit my 85mm tb without an adapter) and adding 42lb green top injectors very very soon
The PRC 243's put out great power for the money and often a few more horses than their 5.3's milling a bit for compression on either set should help a bit too.
My buddy has the older style unmilled stg 2.5 5.3's that flowed a lil less than the newer edition and with his Torque 2 cam with unported fast 78 and factory TB and 390 gears on his 04 GTO he made 430 rwhp with some more on the table.....mainly bc he was running stock injectors!
With most of the heads listed I think you should be in the 430-440rwhp range and adding a FAST would likely push you pretty close or over ur 450 mark id think. Good Luck!

Here's a sound clip at idle with my old set up, TR224 cam. Some random conversation can be heard. It was cool outside too.
