have your ls6 head done by tea to a stg 2 port job...should be around 1200-1300 with springs and ready to bolt up...best option and bang for the buck...no brainer if you ask me...

 

I agree with the last few posts. Get your 243's worked over (have you seen TEA mentioned a few times? lol) and likely you could pick up a used FAST intake/tb all for around 2000$. But remember head bolts, unless you have reusable ARP's, gaskets, fluids, etc, and in the end probably a tune.
